To make a tiger form, I found it’s much challenging…..have to be carful, not to turn into a lion or a cat!? I observed that tiger is fatter than a cat. Tiger’s fur around the head is messy while lion’s seems in a better order. Thus, during the process, I making it a bit fat, and at the same time, some of the wooden rod is out of the joining point.
The following is not the final form but already showing the alike form of tigers, I am happy with it. What will be added or fine tune is the movement feel I made into rhino and eagle. This tiger head so far looks like the hunter’s trophy at home..I need to add more parts to form it’s neck .

Completed the eagle model, actually thinking if I should add the wings/ a wing?! So far it is close to what Andy Warhol’s prints…I mean the post and the parts selected. Now is a challenging part….how to merge it with the amount change of bald eagle (1983 to 2014)?! how to present it well?! like Shane mentioned about the location I showing, etc.
some facts of the bald eagles, seems they are increasing~
http://www.fws.gov/midwest/eagle/population/chtofprs.html
to show the contrast in between 1983 and 2014….I ‘ve got a new idea~ a transparent acrylic box is used to store my artwork, and Andy Warhol’s prints are printed on sticker, depending on how’s the animals reduced, e.g.siberian tigers reduced 1/3, the stickers will be (100%-33.3%=66.7%) semi-transparent. It mean that the audience will see my works clearly if the animals extinct…if the animals remain the population, audience would only see Andy’s work~
and I found that the bald eagle was removed from endangered animals list! it’s really cool~
on the 2nd day, the paints still a bit wet but I have to start making it.
starting with a horn~
It’s been too long for making the beginning, until sunset at around 8pm…only the horn and a bit mouth was made. Problem due to the joining method (nail, screw, wood join, staple, glue) and angle of joints. Afterwards, it seems easier or get used to~
this end at about 12am, I hanging it up so that easier to imagine the next step and joining myself.
During the semester break, I joined a competition.

this is my sketch and ideas for the competition:
Black, Grey and White are basic tone for illustrating 3Dimentional Object. By using these colours but in a random arrangement, building an object that is nearly disappearing in our world (extinction). Idea is to make it more than 3D, more impressive to those audiences’ eyes and mind as well. To rise the awareness of animal extinction.
