Commercial Sculpture!?

Today discovered a UK born, US based artist, Colin Christian from instagram. He is a sculptor whose work mainly inspired by anime girls. His sculptures somehow letting me link with Murakami Takashi’s work. In Colin’s bio, there is a term “commercial sculpture”…..what the hell is that?! same as the visual merchandising….window display…..decoration project I used to do in Hong Kong?! maybe similar, I need to do more research on this term…..since these days I have idea for the endangered animals project.
