this is a good quote for all hunters….they hunt for “glory”….display/show the heads in the house…just telling others how weak they are.

and found a clip of a 2m width eagle attacked the flying camera…reason probably is protecting their nest. the video is short but reflects me that they(animals) only defense from human, they just wanna sleep well; but we keep occupying or destroying their living habitat.

Bald Eagle minimized model

Completed the eagle model, actually thinking if I should add the wings/ a wing?! So far it is close to what Andy Warhol’s prints…I mean the post and the parts selected. Now is a challenging part….how to merge it with the amount change of bald eagle (1983 to 2014)?! how to present it well?! like Shane mentioned about the location I showing, etc.

to show the contrast in between 1983 and 2014….I ‘ve got a new idea~ a transparent acrylic box is used to store my artwork, and Andy Warhol’s prints are printed on sticker, depending on how’s the animals reduced, e.g.siberian tigers reduced 1/3, the stickers will be (100%-33.3%=66.7%) semi-transparent. It mean that the audience will see my works clearly if the animals extinct…if the animals remain the population, audience would only see Andy’s work~

 

and I found that the bald eagle was removed from endangered animals list! it’s really cool~

Tutorial feedback and frame work begin~

Thursday 5June tutorial with Barnaby and Maiko,

Barnaby always think I do not have much passion, just making use of the art project……damn it, come on, if all classmates need to do a project, I’d rather want to do something meaningful but not testing this testing that….neither nor experimental type….-_-!!! And I don’t think adding much self style is not passion enough~!!! He suggested me to do something simple and easy to let the audience understand. e.g…..cut the poster into many pieces, and taking away 1/3 of them, using 2/3 of them for collage (Siberian Tigers reduced 1/3 from 1983 to 2014). I will try to merge his suggestion into my work. However, I really don’t want to make something that any other people could do.

Maiko seems more encouraging to what I am going to do. On the other hand, she suggest me not thinking of the minimizing size….but finding another way……she said there will be misunderstanding that people might think the smaller the artwork, the more serious of their endanger situation.

Both of them suggest me to make some minimized model first….ok, I am making…..

How the print in the students’ eyes

by searching Andy Warhol’s print, found a little workshop which is children tracing the print…is funny to see how children see the adult’s work. maybe useful for my work someday. Thus, I keep it as ref.
